On Friday May 17th, 2013 at 7:30PM, the Black Box Theatre at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center will present "Scandinavia Explored," an evening with beautiful music featuring guest soprano Anna Hersey, a recent Fullbright fellow who will be singing songs by Grieg, Frumerie, Nystroem, Alfvén, Peterson-Berger and Rangström with the South Beach Chamber Ensemble.
Resident violinist Luis Fernandez will arrange the songs for soprano and string quartet.
The program will include the Grieg String Quartet in G minor, Op. 27 and the Kokkonen String Quartet #3.
Performing along with Ms. Hersey will be Luis Fernandez, violin, Tony Seepersad, violin, Rafael Ramirez, viola, and Michael Andrews, cello.
