"The inspiration for my work comes from my surroundings and from my lived experiences. I sort thru images from photograph that 'make sense' and weave them into fragments to tell a story capturing instances throughout time that are interpreted by the observer, who might or not, add biases reflecting on the images.
In my series Clones, the mannequins became as real as people after working on the pictures to get them at their most perfected state. Thus, they became part of my own world and environment, and it was difficult for me at times to see them just as simple mannequins. They all developed a story about their realities with their struggles and their feminine condition."
Opening Reception Thursday June 6th, 2013 at 7PM, 7600 NE 4th Ct Miami, FL 33138, United States.
