On Thursday May 23rd, 2013 from 7 to 9PM, Alma Fine Art will have an encore event for  Ariel Toledano’s “Dissolving the Form,” a three-month exhibition on abstract photography in Wynwood.

Inaugurated on April 11th and on view through June 9th, the Venezuelan-born and Caracas-based artist is showcasing pieces made in the last two years from his series entitled “Koncerto.”

For Toledano, art is a spiritual force and from that dimension he approaches an expressive quality creating a sense of depth and three-dimensionality in works that denote an intangible description of reality.

Breaking away from the traditional use of photography, Toledano makes full use of his lens with light-sensitive material attempting to describe his spiritual voyage creating ethereal and subtle images filled of painterly qualities made up of lines, color, and movement.

“The spiritual force is in the creative act in itself which manifests in the communion between the surrounding universe and the intimacy of my being,” said Ariel Toledano.

To enter such state of emotional journey and abstraction, the artist incorporates any alteration to the perception of time and space coming from the understanding that all objects are intertwined with one another.

“Forms are dissolved when you live in another dimension and having a profound love with nature, I am attracted to a world that allows me to experiment life and spirituality with revered benevolence,” added Toledano.

Alma Fine Art is located at 2242 NW 1st Place, Miami, 33127.
